GMAR member Dues for local, state & national association membership are paid in one lump sum. The initial payment amount is prorated if joining after the payment of the annual dues deadline.
Renewal for this plan is October 1st annually. Payments can be made online by logging into your member account. Premier dues invoices are sent to the Broker to distribute to their Agents (not sent to Agents directly).

Each year, GMAR awards $25,000 in scholarships to members looking to further their career with specialized education and our member's children graduating and committed to attending a Michigan college, university, or trade school.
Scholarships are awarded to recipients as reimbursements ranging from $100 to $1,000 per year.
Applications are open in May.

Acceptable Scholarship Designations & Certifications
The Higher Education Scholarship is available to graduating high school senior children of GMAR REALTOR® members looking to attend a Michigan school for all career choices. The purpose of this fund is to encourage local high school seniors to continue their formal education at Michigan colleges, universities, and other institutions of higher learning.
Scholarships are awarded to recipients ranging from $100 to $1,000.
Applications are open in May.

NAR is pleased to provide to members a free pharmacy program designed to help lower the cost of some prescription drugs: Drug Card America. This free benefit is provided by SASid, the same trusted REALTOR Benefits® Partner who manages REALTORS® Insurance Marketplace.

What: There are two guarantee issue group plans from which to choose: a PPO option and a non-PPO option. Rates are priced for Member Only, Member & Spouse, Member & Children, or Member & Family.
Placemaking is a multi-faceted approach to the planning, design, and management of public spaces. Placemaking capitalizes on a local community's assets, inspiration, and potential, intending to create public spaces that promote people's health, happiness, and well-being.
The GMAR Placemaking Grant is available to communities and GMAR REALTORS® who work together to make their communities a better place to live, work, and play.
Applications can be submitted between April 1st, 2021, through April 30th, 2021. Applications received thereafter are subject available to funds.
All reimbursement requests must be submitted by December 1st.
Small Improvement Project Grant - $100 - $2,500
This grant is designed to fund projects that are not necessarily large, but with a little funding and hard work, it can make a place.
Shifting the Paradigm Project Grant - $2,500 - $5,000
This grant is a commitment to a total transformation of a neighborhood or community. This grant is designed to make a significant impact in a big way. Projects that obtain additional funding from community partners will be given stronger consideration for a grant award.
Project Focus: Creates, renews, or revitalizes a public, outdoor space as a destination and gathering place.
Project Requirements: (1) Part of a strategic, community, or project plan. (2) Involves the participation of GMAR members by way of funding, volunteering, and/or project planning. Grant applications that include GMAR member's inclusion in all three aspects will be given greater consideration. (3) Includes project budget and, if applicable, a design concept/plan. (4) Involves community partners. (5) Is accessible to the whole community and all residents.
Projects that are partially funded through donations from GMAR members will receive greater consideration.
GMAR will not provide funding to projects unavailable to the whole community (i.e., public housing project, private property, gated communities).
Include plans on how you will celebrate your success! We encourage you to host a "ribbon-cutting" ceremony or similar event and invite the community, stakeholders, and media.
Types of Projects Funded
Members can call the Legal Hotline (800)-522-2820 and speak to a qualified attorney five days a week, receive professional standards help at GMAR's office, take part in grievance hearings to address a variety of matters, and receive discounted errors and omissions insurance. It's as close as you can get to having your own personal legal staff without spending big bucks to do it.
