I am seeking a second term on the Greater Metropolitan Association of REALTORS® Board of Directors after three years of service as a Director.
My first term was a baptism by fire. As a newer Realtor, just in my 4th licensed year, my acquisition of new knowledge was not unlike trying to drink from a firehose as I stepped into the frame during a period of significant change both in the industry and at GMAR. Navigating the NAR litigation and settlement together, as well as communicating developments and adjustments to real estate practices to the membership in real time, required me to acclimate quickly. I also ushered in GMAR’s implementation of the Flexmls platform - not unlike a previous experience: leading a 900 bed hospital and 10 other system hospitals through the transition from paper to e-charting as an operations manager/super-user. These experiences reinforce my belief that strong association leadership is particularly important during times of transition, when members need clear communication, practical resources, and leadership that understands how industry changes affect REALTORS® in their everyday businesses.
During my seven years with the association, I applied for and received a $5k GMAR Placemaking grant in 2022 for my community, which led me to serve on the Placemaking committee in 2023. This was followed by four years of service on GMAR’s Government Relations Committee, including serving as Vice Chair 2026 , board liaison 2025, and general member 2023-2024. Through these opportunities, I have developed a deeper understanding of REALTOR® legislative and regulatory, priorities at local, state and national levels and how property-rights, and public-policy issues affect homeowners, REALTORS, and the communities they serve. Because of these experiences as well as my personal involvement in local politics, I am the proud recipient of GMAR's 2026, Realtor Active in Politics award. I fully credit my experiences at GMAR for the knowledge and professionalism with which I am able to approach my duties to my clients and my success as a Realtor.
I am seeking a second term because I remain committed to advocating for REALTORS®, private property rights, being an ambassador for the value GMAR provides its members, and to help ensure the association continues to evolve alongside the professionals it serves and represents.

Jamie Iodice has spent almost 27 years in real estate, working in both the commercial and residential sides of the business. Along the way, he’s had the opportunity to serve REALTORS® at the local, state and national levels, including as President of both GMAR and Michigan REALTORS®. Those experiences have given Jamie a broad perspective on the issues facing REALTORS®—but he still views them through the lens of someone working with buyers, sellers and property owners every day.
Jamie believes good leadership isn’t about having the loudest voice in the room; it’s about asking the right questions, listening to different perspectives and helping the group make better decisions. He brings experience, institutional knowledge and a practical approach to the GMAR Board, along with a willingness to challenge “the way we’ve always done it” when there’s a better way forward. Outside of real estate, Jamie is a 4th-degree black belt who has practiced martial arts for more than 40 years, and when he’s not working, you’re likely to find him traveling, hiking, kayaking or planning the next adventure.
Debbie DeAngelo, PMN, SRES, CRS, C2EX, AHWD, has been a REALTOR® since 2003 and is with The DeAngelo Team at Remerica United Realty. Debbie believes strongly in being involved, giving back, and supporting the organizations that help REALTORS® succeed.
Debbie currently serves on the GMAR Board of Directors for District 4 and has been actively involved with GMAR for many years, serving on RPAC, Finance, Grievance, the GMAR Foundation and Membership Engagement. She also serves as an RPAC Trustee for Michigan REALTORS® and has held numerous leadership positions with Women’s Council of REALTORS®, including District Vice President. Debbie was honored to be named the 2025 Women’s Council of REALTORS® Michigan REALTOR® of the Year.
Debbie enjoys connecting with fellow REALTORS®, listening to their ideas and concerns, and being a voice for the members she represents. She would be honored to continue serving on the GMAR Board of Directors and helping make a positive difference for our members and our industry.
Meriem Kadi has been a REALTOR® for more than 30 years. She also has a MCAAO level (2) Appraiser Certification.
Kadi has sat on various committees with GMAR over the years. She is an active member on the Government Relations Committee and the Realtor Political Action Committee. She is also Federal Political Coordinate (FPC), advocating for private homeownership rights for District 13. She is also active in RPAC along with being a Major Investor. Kadi was also a past WWOCAR Board of Director.
A Westland resident for 48 years, Kadi sits on the Housing Commission Committee, currently serves as President of the Westland Friends of the Library Committee and the Norwayne Community Citizens Council and was humbled to receive the 2026 Westland First Citizen of the Year award. For many years she has also been devoted to serving as part of the Lead team for American Cancer Society- Westland Wayne Relay for Life to celebrate cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost to cancer and raise funds to improve the lives of people fighting cancer.
Kadi is also a past elected member of the Westland City Council and has served on the city’s Planning Commission.
She is proudly seeking a second term for the position of GMAR District 5 Board of Director.

My professional background encompasses real estate brokerage, property and housing operations, affordable-housing compliance, government relations, community development, rental housing, and housing-related regulatory matters. I have also remained actively involved with GMAR through committee, task-force, leadership, and volunteer service over the past year.
I am particularly interested in bringing an operational and policy-focused perspective to the Board as our industry continues to address issues involving housing affordability and availability, property rights, Fair Housing, short- and long-term rental regulation, taxation, occupancy requirements, government regulation, and emerging matters such as dynamic and algorithmic pricing
It would be an honor to represent the REALTORS® and real estate professionals of District 7 and
contribute to the continued work and leadership of GMAR.
Erin Galinac is a REALTOR® and RSPS since 2018, and co-owner of the LIVgreat Real Estate team at Good Company, serving buyers and sellers throughout Washtenaw County and southeast Michigan. She has volunteered with the association since 2019 and has served in elected leadership since 2022, including three years on the Ann Arbor Area Board of REALTORS® Board of Directors — where she was elected in 2021 and served as Treasurer-Elect — continuing through the 2024 merger as the Ann Arbor Area Chapter Representative to the GMAR Board of Directors, and now serving as GMAR Treasurer and Finance Committee Chair for 2026.
Erin's association work has centered on finance, strategic planning, and the Young Professionals Network, where she advanced from committee member to Chair to Director Liaison. She has also worked to strengthen the connection between the Ann Arbor Area Chapter and the broader GMAR membership, serving on the Ann Arbor Area Chapter Advisory Board as Board Liaison and on the Chapter's Community Involvement Committee. At the state level, she has served on the Michigan REALTORS® Convention Taskforce and is a 2025 graduate of the Michigan REALTORS® Leadership Academy. She is a consistent presence at Achieve, the Michigan REALTORS® Convention, Broker Summit, and NAR NXT, and is a Crystal R Major Investor in RPAC.
Beyond her REALTOR® work, Erin is active in the community as Captain of the Humane Society of Huron Valley's Bountiful Bowls program for twelve years, and as a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity, SOS Community Services, Food Gatherers, Our House, and Ronald McDonald House.
Throughout my time in leadership I have focused on finance and member development, and what I most want to contribute now is continued momentum on integration. A merger is finished when members stop thinking in terms of sides, and we are well along that road. I would like to keep strengthening the connective tissue — Ann Arbor Chapter members at GMAR events and GMAR members at ours, a leadership pipeline running from chapter committees into association-wide service, and camaraderie between our memberships that keeps deepening.
Over the last 10 years as a professional, my passion has always been to take care of customers by identifying, understanding, confirming, and meeting their needs in a timely, accurate and positive manner. As a result, I've had the most enjoyable experiences that have culminated into active relationships and referrals. Meeting customer’s needs has been very gratifying, and what motivates me to be the best.
Knowing market trends right down to the local neighborhoods and all the way up to the County and State level is why I’d like to pursue becoming a Director within GMAR.
In addition to engaging with active Buyer’s and Seller’s within Oakland Co, I’ve also been involved with the following organizations to help further the growth of the real estate industry as a whole, and to better my career:

I am running for the At-Large GMAR board position because I have treasured my leadership experiences at the local and state level and want to continue to grow in leadership and give back to our Realtor community. Our industry is always under attack and has many issues that need to be addressed and I want to be part of the discussion, I want to be in the room where it happens. I strive to always be fair and act with integrity in all situations. I promise to represent all Realtors and work towards our common goals.
I have always been very active in my local board and community and feel that even though I have served at the state level, it is important to stay active at the local level. Since merging with GMAR, I believe it opens more opportunities to be involved in new ways. I serve on many committees for the Ann Arbor Chapter, have joined a couple GMAR committees, and attend all the events I can. In the last several years, I have attended all the Michigan Realtors’ Broker Summit, Achieve and Annual Conferences, and many of the NAR Annual Conferences.
I have a 14-yr old son that just start high school, and 2 adorable pups Rosie and Leia. We are very active in our community and volunteer for many groups and events. You will see us at every Friday Night Music and 3rd Thursday in the Summer. We love our community and constantly give back to it with time, talent, and treasure. This year we started a Cliff Franklin Memorial Fund to continue improving the Milan Area.

I began my career in real estate in 2018 and quickly made it a priority to learn every aspect of the industry, seeking knowledge and perspective from peers, mentors, and industry leaders while becoming actively involved in professional service. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of serving on committees at both the Greater Metropolitan Association of REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS®.
My involvement with GMAR has included serving as Chair of the Government Relations Committee, Board Liaison to the Placemaking Committee, and a member of the Young Professionals Network (YPN) Committee. At the national level, I have been honored to serve on several NAR committees, including Diversity, Consumer Communications, and Federal Financing & Housing. These experiences have given me a broader understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing our industry and, more importantly, the role strong leadership and collaboration play in moving our profession forward.
Serving and giving my time to our industry has been both life-changing and eye-opening. From local committee involvement to national service and serving on the GMAR Board of Directors, I have seen our industry navigate significant change, challenges, and controversy with professionalism, resilience, and purpose. Those experiences have reinforced my belief that REALTORS® are more than real estate professionals—we are advocates for our clients, our communities, private property rights, and the future of our profession.
Advocacy has been an especially important part of my involvement. I have been a Golden R Major Investor in RPAC for many years and remain committed to supporting its mission. I have seen firsthand the impact thoughtful advocacy can have on issues affecting homeowners, our clients, our communities, and the real estate profession. I believe it is important not only to have a voice, but to actively participate in shaping the policies and decisions that affect the people we serve.
Leadership and community service have always been important to me, both professionally and personally. In addition to my career as a REALTOR® with @properties Christie’s International Real Estate in Birmingham, I have dedicated 21 years to Tri-Hospital EMS as an EMT and Emergency Dispatcher. Serving people during some of their most difficult moments has shaped my approach to leadership, communication, teamwork, and service.
My commitment to serving others extends beyond my professional roles. I currently serve as a Commissioner on the Port Huron Housing Commission and as an active Board Member with Mid-Michigan Honor Flight. Each of these roles has strengthened my belief that effective leadership begins with listening, being willing to serve, and bringing people together around a common purpose.
I would be honored to continue bringing that experience, perspective, and commitment to the Board of Directors. I believe my combination of industry involvement, advocacy, board experience, and community service allows me to contribute a thoughtful and well-rounded perspective. Most importantly, I am committed to helping strengthen our association, support our members, protect the interests of the clients and communities we serve, and help position our profession for continued success.
Evelyn Roberts is the Owner and Broker of NestEgg Properties in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She has served buyers, sellers, investors, and renters for 15 years across four states, bringing real-world perspective to every side of the transaction.
She relocated to Michigan in 2021 and quickly established herself across the Washtenaw County corridor. Her career covers every side of the business. She actively brokers transactions, manages a multi-property rental portfolio, and oversees third-party property management. She brings deep experience in relocation transactions, particularly military moves, and investor-level market fluency to every client relationship.
Her designations, ABR, SRS, RENE, e-PRO, MRP, C2EX, and CRB, reflect a career-long investment in professional development and a belief that education makes better agents.
Evelyn currently chairs the Ann Arbor Chapter Government Relations Committee and is a member of the Grievance Committee. She believes advocacy and education go hand in hand.
Her candidacy for the Board of Directors is grounded in a straightforward conviction: Members deserve a board that fights for their interests and an association that takes professional development seriously. Not as a checkbox. As a standard. Elevating the knowledge and skills of every agent in this profession is how this industry earns and keeps the trust of the public it serves.
The industry changes fast. Agents deserve an association that keeps them ready for it.

- Be a GMAR member in good standing for at least three years
- Currently be serving on a GMAR Committee during the last 12 months
- Have participated/attended at least one event in the past 12 months
- Preferably be an investor in RPAC
- Submit a current resume, including any volunteer activities in the past 3 years to vickey@gmaronline.com
- Have an active real estate license in an office that is within the district running for
- Have no felony convictions or license law violations involving any of the following areas:
• Fraudulent misrepresentation
• Embezzlement or misappropriation of funds
• Criminal trespass
• Sexual misconduct
- Must be located within the District borders for which they run; REALTOR members seeking to run for an At Large Director position may be located anywhere within the GMAR Districts; REALTOR members seeking to run for a Chapter Representative position must be participating with the Ann Arbor Area Chapter of GMAR.
- Members seeking to run for a Strategic Partner Director position must be active participants on the GMAR Strategic Partner Committee.

The number of National Directors allocated to the state associations and local boards for the following year is based on the primary membership recorded in the National REALTORS® Database System (M1) on July 31. In 2027, GMAR has been allocated two NAR Directors.
This positions serves for a term of one-year, and attendance at the NAR Legislative and Annual Conferences is encouraged. The general policy of GMAR is that the President shall be named to the first National Association of REALTORS® Director Entitlement position.
