Code of Ethics

The NAR Code of Ethics, adopted in 1913, was one of the first codifications of ethical duties adopted by any business group. The Code ensures that REALTORS® cooperates in furthering clients' best interests.

The Requirement

REALTORS® are required to complete ethics training of not less than 2 hours, 30 minutes of instructional time within three-year cycles. Read about the background on the change to a three-year requirement. The training must meet specific learning objectives and criteria established by the National Association of REALTORS®.

A new three-year cycle began on January 1, 2022. The deadline for this cycle is December 31, 2024

The Class

Code of Ethics Training is available online at no cost! 

You will need your NRDS number to access the online training. Please reach out to our office if you need assistance with your NRDS number.
